My Creative Process
At first glance, “A Burst of Colors” depicts simple lines of colorful droplets. However, this is not the case; there are a variety of textures and colors within the entire piece.
Before embarking on this project, I noticed that when I browsed social media, the monotonous scrolling of my fingers made me feel detached. I observed this as a problem that most people in society have; we see a post for only a few seconds and move on. We don’t take the chance to take a look at something closely and examine the details-for example, textures and patterns. Sometimes, we can’t even recall the details of something that we just saw.
My intent while creating this work, “A Burst of Colors”, is to show the beauty of details with texture. Whether you are seeing an artwork on your screen or seeing it in real life, texture is a tool that allows you to feel connected without touch.
